Art with giant heart.

From land once marked by thunderous hooves…

The Tremendous Machine Farm Story

Our home is part a former horse farm with ties to the legendary racehorse Secretariat,—the collective’s roots are literally embedded in land shaped by movement, strength, and legend.

The name Tremendous Machine is drawn from the unforgettable call of Secretariat’s 1973 Belmont Stakes victory, when the announcer, witnessing an impossible surge of speed and grace, declared that the horse was moving “like a tremendous machine.” It was a phrase that captured not just velocity, but awe. Secretariat’s dominance was later revealed to be powered by an extraordinary physical truth: a heart nearly three times the size of an average Thoroughbred’s—an anomaly of perfection that fueled his stamina, generosity of stride, and historic Triple Crown run.

At Tremendous Machine Farm, that legacy becomes a philosophy. The collective creates large-scale sculptures and playful, machine-like artworks that echo this balance of engineering and emotion. Machine reflects structure, mechanics, and momentum; farm speaks to cultivation, patience, and growth. Together, they describe a practice rooted in building big—while leading with care.

From land once marked by thunderous hooves, Tremendous Machine Farm produces works driven by collaboration, curiosity, and empathy—art with giant heart.
